How To Freshen Up Your Home

How To Freshen Up Your Home

As the days are getting longer and the weather’s improving, we really are finally saying goodbye to Winter. And what better way to welcome the Spring than a refresh at home! Below is our step-by-step guide to freshening up your home and getting ready for the new season.

Ventilation

Improving ventilation is a great way to get rid of that stagnant winter air, so crack those windows open! We know it’s still a bit chilly, so it can be easier to go room by room and close the doors in between to stop it getting too drafty; and you don’t have to have them open for long! Just 5 minutes is enough to make sure there’s adequate air exchange, but up to 30 is ideal.

Removing Pollutants

After you’ve had the windows open you may have introduced some outdoor pollutants, so now is a perfect time to crank on the Briiv! An air purifier will remove any pollutants, improve your indoor air quality, and will help make your air feel cleaner and fresher.

Eco-friendly Cleaning

While your air purifier is running is a perfect time to get cleaning. As you clean chemical pollutants, like VOCs, are released into your air. However, these can be removed by the activated charcoal in your purifier. Of course, you could also reduce your VOCs by making your own cleaning spray out of vinegar and essential oils! DIY cleaning remedies can be a great way to reduce your environmental impact and can be cheaper in the long term.

Home Fragrance

A scent diffuser is also a great option to add your favourite fragrance to the air. From fresh linen to pine and sage, your chosen scent can add that touch of freshness or relaxation you’re after. You can also bring the outdoors in with some fresh cut flowers to brighten up your home and welcome Spring!

Bamboo Bed Set

After all that, there’s no better way to end the day than cosying up in your clean bedding. There’s something about new bedding that always makes me feel fresh, and I love this bamboo fibre bedding set from Panda London.

Creating a healthier home environment doesn’t have to be hard, but it can have a huge positive impact on your wellbeing.
